'pumpkin' slow-cooker bag making
'pumpkin' slow-cooker bag
this amazing slow-cooker bag is used to continue the cooking of your casseroles and puddings without adding any extra heat source.
The bag can be made in 3 to 4 half day sessions and can be made using recycled materials. Some basic sewing machine skills will be required.

The best way to make this bag is to use a duvet and duvet cover which you have finished with (and washed).
Participants will need to provide their own fabric for the bag - this can be one single duvet cover or 3 metres of cotton fabric.
Ideally, participants will use an unwanted single duvet as filling. Alternatively, wool remnant insulation/filling can be supplied if required at a cost of £10 per bag.

Shibori is a Japanese paper folding and dyeing technique. this workshop uses special paper to create shibori patterns to make up into diamond shaped kites.
Participants will create several sheets of shibori patterned paper and will select at least one piece to make up into a square diamond kite. More kites can be made if there is time.
Kites can be test flown on the adjacent field at Nile street.

kite making for adults and children during the school holidays. Everyone will make at least one kite to take away and fly. Kites can be test flown on the adjacent field at Nile street.
